Beerzedal Holsteins, renown for the Beerzedal Paultjes, is owned by the Dieker family in Oost-West-Middelbeers, the Netherlands. At the farm 135 milking cows and 65 head of youngstock is housed. The average lactation production is 12.400 kgM with 4.15% Fat and 3.45% Protein. There are 38 hectares of land available where 33 hectares are used for grass silage production and 5 hectares for corn silage production. In the summer the cows are going outside for at least 3 hours a day.
The main cow families @ Beerzedal Holsteins are the homebred Paultjes and the Diamonds, a branch of the famous Cinderella/Roxy's. The Paultje cow family is an outstanding cow family for protein and lifetime production. This family traces back to Beerzedale Paultje 38 (s. Ked Juror) that produced 114.008 kg milk with 3.6% protein!
HIgh impact bulls for Beerzedal Holsteins were: Shottle, O Man, Jeeves, Commander and Balisto. For breeding, top genomic sires from mainly ABS Global are selected. Beerzedal flushes promising heifers and milkers on a regular basis. They also keep investing in new families where high TPI and NM$ so far are important selection goals.
The breeding goal of Beerzedal Holsteins is a strong dairy cow that can achieve a high lifetime production on a 3x milking and intensive feeding regime. Furthermore they invest in genetics to keep the possibility for delivering bulls to AI.
Proven sire Beerzedal Paragon and young, high g RZG bull Beerzedal Fraser, are perfect examples of the quality their cow families so far have delivered.
