Results HI Plus: Most Influential Breeders of the last 20 years

The results of the Holstein International Plus contest are out! Holstein International had a contest for the most influential Dutch breeder in the last 20 years. The most inportant criteria was: they must be active milk producers. All votes have been counted and Eurogenes members rank high in the list of most influential breeders of the last 20 years!

Hereby the ranking of the Eurogenes members:

 #2 Bons - Holsteins
Bons - Holsteins is the #2 most influential Dutch breeder between 2000-2020. All cows are 100% homebred and on the farm are four cowfamilies important: the Koba's, Ella's, Aaltjes and Dikkies. Bons-Holsteins Koba 191 EX-94-NL EX-95-MS (s. Jasper) won multiple shows like: Grand Champion Libramont '13 and HHH-Show '16 and more. Another successful cow is Bons-Holsteins Koba 219 EX-94-NL EX-95-MS, the stunning Lauthority daughter, co-owned with Westcoast Holsteins, was Grand Champion HHH-Show '17 & '18, FVZH Wintershow Noordeloos '18 and Nuit de la Holstein '18. In 2021 Bons - Holsteins classified 14 2Yr. Olds with an average of VG-87,4! 

 #3 Giessen Holsteins
Giessen Holsteins is the #3 in the list. In 2021 was Giessen Holsteins again the #1 production herd in Drenthe. The herd avarage from 2020-2021: 13.295kgM / cow / year with 4,36% fat, 3,41% protein and 1.034kg combinated Fat + Protein, a super achievement. With these huge numbers they are also the #10 of the Netherlands in general. In 2021 22 2-Yr. Olds scored an average of VG-87,2 with VG-87,4 for udders! Giessen Charity 138 VG-89-NL 2Yr. (MAX) is the 'True Type' cow for Giessen Holsteins, the Atwood daughter won multiple ribbons at the National Shows in the Netherlands. The Giessen Cinderella's and Giessen Charity's are the most important cowfamilies at Giessen Holsteins. The bulls Cinderdoor and JK-Eder-I Control are also from the Cinderella family. 

 #14 Bouw Holsteins
Bouw Holsteins is #14 in the list with most influential Dutch breeders. Bouw Goldwyn Femmy, backed by the Ralma Juror Faith - family is a important cow at Bouw Holsteins. Bouw Goldwyn Femmy is the dam to Snowman sons: Snowfever and Snowflake. But she is also the granddam of Bouw Rocky, Bouw Finder and Bouw Final. At the Eurogenes Online Embryo Sale are embryo's selling from some special heifers at Bouw Holsteins! 

 #16 JK Eder Holsteins
JK Eder Holsteins is also in the top 20 with most influential Dutch breeders. You can find a lot of interesting cowfamilies in the barn of JK Eder Holsteins like, the Judy - family. Or Carf Emeraude EX-91-NL, she and her progeny have won multiple National Show titles. Emeraude is the only cow alive with six excellent daughters, one of these daughters is JK Eder DG Esmeralda EX-92-NL EX-94-MS! Another family in the barn of JK Eder Holsteins are the Darling's. A succesful member of this family is DH Gold Chip Darling EX-95-CH.
